Sonata contains a patented strain of Bacillus pumilus. Sonata provides excellent control of both downy and powdery mildew. Sonata has a 4-hour re-entry interval with a 0 day pre-harvest interval combined with a chemigation and aerial application label. Sonata is compatible with copper and sulfur and is an excellent resistance management tool for both the strobilurin fungicides and triazole fungicides.
Today Sonata is widely used in Florida potato production for the control of potato late blight. The use rate of Sonata is 1 to 2 quarts per acre depending on disease severity. Sonata is one of the most effective tools in treating potato late blight.
